T<\/span>he lack of a good espresso during my holiday travels brings up the idea to build an own machine.<\/p>\n

A fun, non profit project between Christmas and New year.<\/p>\n

Requirements are easy for this:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Produce espresso<\/li>\n
  • Weight almost nothing. Size almost nothing.<\/li>\n
  • No open coffee powder handling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Technical I need:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • >10Bar<\/li>\n
    • >80\u00b0C<\/li>\n
    • 20-40ml Water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      Solution:<\/p>\n

      As I go out for diving during my holidays, there is the option to take the middle pressure from my regulator 9.5Bar. Nearly perfect.<\/p>\n

      Hot water on diveboats is mostly available. For handling coffee i took aluminium capsules.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Sounds easy but i need 2 designs to get it done.<\/p>\n

      The Solution is 50mm diameter x 65mm tall.<\/p>\n

      Build out of titanium.<\/p>\n

      Issues:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Main issue is to keep mechanical stength and keep your coffee hot.<\/li>\n
      • If i do a classic calculation, i gets over 100kg force on top and bottom. I need to get the tube up to 1.5mm stength….<\/li>\n
      • Take Aluminium and you get a coffee only worm, but hot fingers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
